Quote of the Week

Coach Boone: It's all right. We're in a fight. You boys are doing all that you can do. Anybody can see that. Win or lose... We gonna walk out of this stadium tonight with our heads held high. Do your best. That's all anybody can ask for.

Big Ju: No, it ain't Coach. With all due respect, uh, you demanded more of us. You demanded perfection. Now, I ain't saying that I'm perfect, 'cause I'm not. And I ain't gonna never be. None of us are. But we have won every single game we have played till now. So this team is perfect. We stepped out on that field that way tonight. And, uh, if it's all the same to you, Coach Boone, that's how we want to leave it.

Girls Dominate at FSU

The girls win the FSU Invitational with five in the top ten. Looking for a good week and showdown with the rest of the state in Dade City next weekend. Here's some photos from the race.

The prerace walk. Chew nails. Chop wood. Choose your metaphor. Serious time.

Lily comes close with her kick. Jana runs a good race, but there will be other races.

Carly and Rachel. Both are running very well. Good work girls.

What's this Jodie is back in the race. Glad to have you back Jodie and looking for great things.

Kendall doesn't like this picture, but I'm going for the artsy backlight with spider webs and everything. It was a jungle out there. (There was even a LARGE trap for feral animals with a warning for dumb cross country runners not to get caught).

Jodie finishing.

Kelly getting back and getting stronger.

Boys take fourth place

I finally got my computer fixed so I hope to be able to post more stuff on the blog. If you have suggestions, let me know.

Great race at the FSU Invitational. HOT, HOT, HOT and HUMID, HUMID, HUMID. The boys looked good. They took fourth place with the usual strong performance from Sam, Brandon, and Taylor and help at four and five from Joey and Patrick. We've got to keep getting better because our district is the toughest in the state.

Here are some photos from the day.

Our youngest boy. It won't be long now. Check out that smile. Baby teeth one day, permanent teeth the next day, high school just around the corner. (Double click on the photo for a close up).

Coach putting in some mileage.

The start Choctaw, Leon, us and Maclay.

Sam finishes first for us.

Andikan and Brian

Joey and Patrick just behind.

Good to see old folks.
